Mechanical keyboard designed is a direct replacement for the keyboard membranes of Sinclair computer models ZX-Spectrum 16k or 48k with rubber keys.
Kit for self-assembly:
Version with regular buttons with clicking action, pressing force 2.45N.
Version with buttons from ALPS SKQGAFE010, high-quality buttons in this keyboard with silent quiet pressing, pressing force of only 0.98N, very similar to pressing the original membrane.

Keyboard was build with long life SMD tactile switches for a safe and comfortable type feeling in comparison to standard membranes. Programs can be written much faster and the keys have an audible click. The keyboard is very flat and not much thicker than a usual keyboard membrane and fits perfectly under the rubber mate.
Anti-ghosting effect allows you to press more keys at the same time, in games with key remapping you can use your own key combinations, because here is not mirror effect as on original keyboard membrane.
May be used with clones of the ZX-Spectrum like the Harlequin or for own projects and testing boards.

Solder 40 tact buttons, try to install the buttons as accurately as possible, for this, use the silkscreen on the board as a guide.
Solder two flexible cables to the board, install the cables with the flat side up.

Install the board into the computer case, threading the cables through the rectangular holes in the top cover.
Install the rubber keyboard mat and metal cover.

Install two adapters into the computer board connectors, pay special attention to the fact that they are turned in different directions.

Thread the flexible cables into the holes, as shown in the photo, and solder them.

After soldering, insert the adapters into the connectors until they stop.
It is not necessary to install the adapter boards; you can insert the cable directly into the connectors.
